Join the Society
Informing, supporting and representing patients since 1987
The role of the Sussex & Kent ME/CFS Society remains profoundly important — informing, supporting and representing patients living with ME, CFS, Fibromyalgia and Long Covid across Sussex and Kent.
We maintain close contact with support agencies and medical professionals across the region, and are fortunate to have eminent doctors as advisors. We also enjoy the support of a number of patrons — including Members of Parliament — who work actively in the interests of ME/CFS patients.
Whether you have a formal diagnosis or are still awaiting one, whether you are severely affected or managing well — there is a place for you here. Family members and carers are equally welcome.
Everything your membership brings
As a member you are connected to a full range of services — from our printed newsletter and face-to-face gatherings to our online Egroup and medical conferences.
Quarterly Newsletter
A good-standard 16-page newsletter published four times a year — covering research updates, Society news, member stories, conference reports and practical guidance.
Help-lines
Telephone and email help-lines staffed by volunteers with personal experience of ME/CFS. No diagnosis is needed to call. We are here to listen, inform and signpost.
Local Meetings & Café Gatherings
Informal local meetings and café-style gatherings across the region — a chance to meet people who understand, share experiences and build friendships at your own pace.
Medical Conferences
Regional conferences featuring leading clinicians and researchers. Members receive discounted places. These events help bridge the gap between patients and the medical profession.
Egroup
An online email discussion group for members — a space to share information, ask questions, exchange experiences and stay connected without leaving home.
Special Interest Groups
Focused groups for members with particular interests or needs — including groups for carers, parents, younger members and those with Fibromyalgia or Long Covid.
